“Amazing Technicolor Lab Coat”, 2021.

Sewn using discarded medical scrubs, this lab coat is meant to convey the joy and life that medical professionals bring to the world. While there are elements of traditional quilt patterns dispersed throughout the coat, the majority of the coat was “improv pieced”, reflecting the inconsistency of daily life during this time. It can now be seen as part of the University of Kentucky Healthcare system’s permanent art collection.
