This project began in Spring 2020, in the midst of lockdown. A Yard Art Show had been planned among artists in Lexington, Kentucky. As my contribution, I created a series of pieced panels using scraps from mask making and past quilting projects. Each panel was hand-sewn onto my front porch columns for passersby. After leaving the panels on the porch for a month they were removed and sewn into larger pieces that make up the panels of this jacket. It was quilted by scrap batting and an impromptu quilting pattern.
